New LEP website and branding launches to support regeneration of Solent

A website has launched to support regeneration of the Solent region by attracting new partners to Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and to help create thousands of jobs.

www.solentlep.org.uk

The Solent LEP website at www.solentlep.org.uk contains a wealth of useful information for start-ups and existing businesses in the area, as well as key information about attracting new partners, business and investment to the region.

The branding and website were created by creative agency SandisonPay. Founder Claire Pay said: “We worked closely with key members of the Solent LEP team to identify the key requirements of the website. As a result, it is both visually engaging and also built with a bespoke content management system, which allows LEP members to dynamically update information which users can then comment on and create a dialogue about. Important information is also cross-linked on the site to ensure that users are able to find information which is useful and relevant.”

The easy-to-use site has been developed to encourage potential partners to join the organisation and to keep the region informed of the latest news.

A new brand and an accompanying suite of inspiring regional images shows a coming together
of partners and ideas and replaces an existing brand with a new fresh approach.

Solent LEP Director Gary Jeffries said: “Our vision is to create an environment which will better facilitate growth and private sector investment in the Solent area, allow business to grow and to enable new businesses to prosper. This fantastic new website will carry that message and help businesses find the information and help they need – quickly and easily.

“SandisonPay have interpreted the brief perfectly and the feedback and comments so far about the site have been extremely positive – we are delighted.”

Get sweeping

Sandisonpay were asked to help out our lovely friends at A.R.W Chimney sweeping, a local Alresford based business that launched in the winter 2011. We designed a brand for them and a set of business cards using www.moo.com.

We have another happy customer and very clean chimneys!

“These are fantastic, I actually feel proud now handing out my business cards”

It’s official – tasty Caracoli named Best Small Food Shop in Britain!

Gourmet coffee and food stores Caracoli have been named the Best Small Food Shop in Britain after loyal customers voted them the tastiest on the high street.

Beating off hundreds of other national contenders, the family-run business with stores in picturesque Alresford, historic Winchester and the thriving Cathedral town of Guildford, says it was delighted to scoop The Telegraph Magazine award.

Caracoli Managing Director and Co-owner James Nichols said, “We were chuffed to hear that we had made the shortlist to the final five and then the final three and to then win was the icing on the cake. It makes all the hard work worthwhile. We are providing a quality, independent service which our customers love and that is so rewarding.

“Supporting independent businesses like ours is important – especially in tougher times. We are grateful to all our loyal customers for voting for us and letting us know that they love what we do.”

As a thank you, James plans on holding a special promotion event in the near future and has exciting plans to further promote the Caracoli name in 2012.

In the spirit of sourcing locally, James has appointed Creative agency SandisonPay to work on branding and new leaflets for the three stores based in Broad Street, Alresford and the High Street in Winchester and Guildford. He hopes with a stronger identity, the stores will go from strength to strength.

“We are investing in the company, which is good news for local people and will ultimately lead to the creation of more jobs and hopefully further stores in the future.” James added.
Caracoli, named after a prized single coffee bean, is run by mother and son team Gail and James Nichols, after travels abroad revealed a lack of combined top-quality coffee and food stores outside the capital. With a background in the catering industry, Gail quickly set to work opening the first store in Alresford in 2005, with former hotel general manager James coming on board in 2008.

At Caracoli fresh food and drinks are made with care, respecting traditional recipes, while searching out new ideas. Staff are conscious of the origins of the food they serve and sell, trying to support local producers wherever possible. The up-market food stores have a wide range of unusual food items from around the globe.

New website for Petersfield based company

Bluebird Care, one of the largest and fastest-growing care at home providers, has reported a surge in enquiries at its head and regional offices since launching its new website www.bluebirdcare.co.uk earlier this month.

The informative website for the Petersfield-based company, which has over 130 offices nationwide and provides over 6,800 care visits a day, was created by full-service creative agency SandisonPay.

Within two weeks of its launch, the site had a marked percentage increase in unique hits.

Claire said, “Bluebird Care has grown rapidly from a single franchise in 2002, to over 130 nationwide, and it was really important that the new website was a useful tool for people looking for information, both about care and also about possible franchise opportunities. It also carries the latest industry information, which makes it a useful resource as more people are choosing to stay in their homes rather than go into residential care.”

Based near Winchester and headed by Managing Director Claire Pay, SandisonPay has been working with Bluebird Care for over three years, developing brand guidelines and updating its marketing material, including for customers and its growing number of franchisees.

One of the key functions that the new site had to offer was improved support to the company’s growing number of franchise owners – doubling as an effective sales tool.

SandisonPay gets clucky…

SandisonPay have just developed a new brand for our lovely client Stuart Clark, this is a new venture for him, and we were happy to help out with his business that’s exceeding RSPCA standards.

From Stuart:

Firstly Let’s talk turkey! One other thing to mention is turkey-news! A very big thank you to all of you who supported our new venture, and had a traditional bronze turkey from us for christmas. Also, thank you for all the really positive comments and rave reviews we really appreciate it. And an extra thank you to the client who contacted us two days after Christmas to order another turkey immediately for their forthcoming new year celebrations! Following a successful trial last year and also the positive ‘turkey’ feedback.

We are now moving full steam ahead with our ‘chicken’ plans! When was the last time you ate a chicken that actually tasted of chicken? The birds that are available in the supermarket end up being tasteless and if that is not enough, the poor little things have led a terribly short life, in many cases no more than 39 days!

We are proud to announce the beginning of our new enterprise of rearing delicious tasty chicken for the table. Our birds will be different having been carefully selected and grown for their meat quality and flavour.

They will also have lived a life that exceeds current RSPCA welfare standards for poultry! Our first batch of birds are currently enjoying themselves under their nice warm heat lamp and will be ready towards the end of March. (It’s OK we’re not slow roasting them! (They have to remain under a heat lamp for the first 3 weeks or so)

Coming soon there will be a brand new website explaining all about the birds along with all the information you need - The Real Chicken Company. Oh, and yes, we will have Traditional Bronze turkey available for this Christmas too.

The website will be www.therealchickencompany.co.uk
